end the occupation.

In the past two weeks, we have been forced to witness the brutal assault on Palestinians in Gaza once again. Over 4651 Palestinians have been brutally murdered at the hands of the Israeli apartheid regime as of October 21st. Of the 4651, 1756 are children. Unfortunately, while horrific to witness, this violence is not new. Palestinians have been living under a brutal occupation for 75 years. They have been expelled from their homes, surveilled, illegally detained and confined to what many call “the world’s largest open air prison”. Two million Palestinians are besieged in Gaza and 65% of them are under the age of 24. At present, Israel has imposed a land, air and sea blockade on the Gaza Strip, preventing aid from going, people from coming out and cutting off food, water and electricity. For the past two weeks, I have sat glued to my screen, watching in horror as homes, hospitals, schools and shelters are bombed by the IOF. As hospitals are running out of electricity and medical supplies, forcing staff to perform under, inoperable, inhumane conditions. As a mother, my heart breaks for every child that is now left without a parent. And as a human, I cannot look away as Israel commits this barbaric slaughter of the Palestinian people. Sunday Story is a mom-owned, Canadian-made, small business. To say I am disappointed in Canada’s complicity to this genocide is an understatement. While I have spent the past two weeks writing to politicians, attending protests and sharing the voice of the Palestinian people, I have had little desire to operate with business as usual, knowing Palestinian children are being violently killed. I have been silently fulfilling orders, wanting to do more, but have fallen short. As humanitarian aid slowly trickles into Gaza, it is important now more than ever that we do our part to ensure that aid is continuously flowing. As of today, 100% of the proceeds from ALL orders will be going to the Human Concern International for Palestine.
